Mary Furman, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and his been in practice for over 30 years. Mary received her bachelors degree in Psychology from North eastern Illinois University and Masters degrees from Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, self esteem and anger management. Individual goals are developed for each client and therapy sessions are tailored to match these goals. Mary uses a variety of treatment strategies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT), and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). When treating her clients she will help you explore and process difficult feelings and challenge underlying counterproductive thoughts and behaviors. You can achieve a greater sense of relief and awareness while developing tools that foster continued growth and increased happiness and peace.
