Khadija is a bachelor’s degree Registered Nurse and Diabetes Educator with over 20 years of experience. She received her degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She began her Nursing career at a pediatric hospital Cook Children’s Medical Center in October 2000, where she worked under the direction of Dr. Paul Thornton, Medical Director of Endocrine and Diabetes. From 2019 until 2022 she worked for Dexcom the Continuous Glucose Management Company as a Clinical Account Manager and Patient Care Specialist. Her passion for diabetes care comes from her personal diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes. Her goal is to provide comprehensive and mindful education to patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes so that they can make the best decisions about their personal diabetes care.
