Dr. Kathleen Pressoir, D.O., is board-certified in Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine and is a fellowship-trained non-invasive Cardiologist. Dr. Pressoir earned her Master of Public Health from the University of Connecticut Health Center before obtaining her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Pressoir further honed her expertise during her Internal Medicine residency at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY, where she served as a resident. She is also a board-certified professional, having achieved certification from the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, and from the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
In her role as a cardiologist, she aimed to make a meaningful impact on individuals, families, and communities in the face of heart disease—the leading cause of death in America. Being a black woman in medicine, Dr. Pressoir represented a minority, allowing her to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds. Her experiences shaped her ability to empathize with people from all walks of life. She was passionate about shared decision-making and believed it was crucial for patient success.
Beyond her medical endeavors, Dr. Pressoir finds joy in exercising, cooking healthier versions of favorite foods, and cherishing moments with loved ones.
